I grew up in Brianza, studied Economics in Milan at Bocconi,
and in Victoria, B.C. at UVic. I also worked as an Investment Consultant in Phnom Penh.
I graduated from Bocconi as a first-generation college student, where I wrote a dissertation in Economic Theory under the supervision of Professor
Simone Cerreia-Vioglio. My dissertation earned me the Giorgio Mortara Scholarship
from the Bank of Italy. Before moving to San Diego to pursue my doctoral studies, I worked at Bocconi as a Research Assistant for Professor
Carlo Favero.
At UC San Diego, I studied under the supervision of Professor Valerie Ramey and
benefited greatly from the guidance and support of the macroeconomics faculty, including Giacomo Rondina.
I am particularly grateful to my committee members: Jim Hamilton, Nir Jaimovich,
Johannes Wieland, Munseob Lee, and, of course, Valerie.
